To be honest, most people don’t want help with their Professional Narrative.
They want a better bio, personal pitch or LinkedIn profile. They want to answer confidently when someone says, “Tell me about yourself.” They want more opportunities, and more recognition for what they can do.
Their problem is not the words but being too close to the work to see it clearly. While it obviously matters where you’ve worked, what qualifications you’ve got and how many awards you’ve won, those things don’t necessarily help other people see your individual value. What’s missing is a clear sense of what it all adds up to: the thread connecting what you’ve done and the contribution you’re uniquely placed to make.
I help people find that thread and communicate it more clearly through Professional Narrative workshops and 1:1 advisory sessions.
Workshop — Beyond the Bio: Talking About Yourself and Your Work. A practical workshop for people who find it difficult to explain who they are and what they do. Participants identify the thread running through their work and experience, explore what it all adds up to, and develop a better way to communicate it all through bios, introductions, pitches and applications.
1:1 Advisory Sessions — These sessions give you the chance to focus exclusively on your specific situation with someone who is experienced in asking useful questions and spotting what will matter most.
We can develop your Professional Narrative, looking at what your individual career and life experience adds up to, so you can talk about yourself and your work in a way that reflects what you actually bring. We can also use the session to prepare for an important meeting, pitch or conversation. We’ll talk through what you want to achieve and consider it from the perspective of the people you’re talking to, so you can go into the moment with your best foot forward.
Both the workshop and 1:1 sessions can be adapted to different needs. This may be working on something specific such as developing an artist’s statement or an athlete’s sponsorship pitch. Or the focus might be on gaining confidence in your professional voice. Many people spend years developing expertise yet feel uncertain when it comes to speaking out more fully as themselves. This work is for people who want to contribute more visibly, whether that’s speaking up in the workplace, sharing ideas publicly or participating more confidently in professional conversations.

Email me to discuss a workshop or 1:1 advisory session. I also do speaking engagements and panel discussions.
It’s not just about what you do. It’s about why it matters that you’re the one doing it.
