They come because they want to get better at explaining who they are and what they do.

The problem isn’t lack of talent or the wrong words. It’s that you’re standing too close to the work to see it clearly.

People will tell me where they’ve worked. They’ll list their qualifications, the big achievements, the responsibilities. But it doesn’t help me to understand their value. If anything, it just flattens them into sounding like everyone else. 

What’s missing is a clear sense of what it all adds up to: the thread connecting what they’ve done, what they’ve learned and the contribution they’re uniquely placed to make.

I help people find that thread and communicate it more clearly through Professional Narrative workshops and 1:1 sessions.

My background in national television journalism shapes how I approach the work.  Journalists don’t start by asking how to tell the story. They start by asking, what is actually happening here and why does it matter?

Professional Narrative Intensive: Sometimes it’s easier to have someone help you see what you’re too close to see yourself. In this 1:1 session, we’ll identify the thread running through your experience and develop language that reflects how you genuinely think about your work.

Professional Narrative Clarity: Most people can tell you what they’ve done. Fewer can explain what it all adds up to. This workshop helps participants step back from the detail of their work and find a clearer way to explain who they are, what they bring and why it matters.
